Update on Billionaire Ken Griffin’s Divorce

Recently, we reported on Anne Dias’s attempt to have her premarital agreement thrown out by the court, which limited her to 1% of Billionaire’s Ken Griffin’s net worth. She also asked to establish sole custody of their three children, ages 2, 3 and 6, and permission to move the kids out of state, while retaining the family home in Chicago.

Ken Griffin’s response filing Thursday revealed that, according to the terms of the prenuptial, his wife was entitled to $25 million the day they were married and $1 million for every year of marriage thereafter, adding up to $35 million during the 10 year plus marriage. He states his wife’s net worth exceeded $50 million over the course of the marriage.

Ken Griffin rejects his wife’s claim to sole custody of their three children and objects to plans to move them from Chicago to New York.

He refutes Anne Dias’s claims that he was a hands-off father. Dias Griffin claimed Ken Griffin showed “little interest” in their children and was never part of their children’s care.

In contrast, Ken Griffin says he has been involved in many aspects of the children’s lives and describes himself as a devoted father, involved in his childrens lives, even during the separation from Anne Dias. He states that his attempts to visit the children have been frustrated by his estranged wife.

Within minutes of Griffin’s filing, Dias Griffin filed her own petition asking a judge to issue a temporary restraining order against her husband for exclusive use of their marital residence in Chicago. She also requested access to the family homes across the country and for temporary support from her husband to continue paying the bills.
